Oscillating-piston engine

The prior art has disclosed working methods which work with spatially predetermined compression spaces and operate by the spark-ignition or diesel process. Alternatives and suggestions for new methods are not known. The object of the invention is to employ new assumptions regarding combustion, new means of obtaining work and new means of effecting an exhaust and refill. The object is achieved by forming compression, combustion, expansion and gas exchange spaces by means of a pair of pistons oscillating in opposite directions on a circular path in a casing. In this arrangement, control of the gas exchange is effected by means of ports in the oscillating-piston discs. Extraction of the mechanical energy is accomplished, when there is an excess, by means of clamping rings situated on the oscillating-piston discs. The oscillating-piston engine makes it possible to convert the energy in fuel to mechanical energy by means of a pair of pistons oscillating in opposite directions on a circular path in a casing.
