In known desk-top machine units of triangular design, formed from three video-screen desks and a connecting desk arranged in an interspace, play is tied to a specific common form of game. In contrast to the known desk-top machine unit, there is now to be provided a compact desk-top machine unit, on which both individual games and group play are possible. In the desk-top machine unit having four playing stations, two playing stations are arranged respectively opposite one another. Provided between the schooldesk-like operating parts of the playing stations is a mounting in the form of a truncated pyramid having viewing windows which are located in the side faces and behind which the symbol combination is visible to the user of a playing station when the rotary bodies of the symbol-play device are stationary. After the termination of all the part draws of a game, the game result is indicated to the users of the desk-top machine unit, in that the symbol-play device is pivoted from viewing windows in the side faces into a viewing window in the covering face of the mounting.
