PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy when an electrode plate group is installed in a can container by arranging the lower edges of round anode plates at the surface same as the lower edges of wound separators. CONSTITUTION:A belt-form cathode plate 2 is lined up and superposed on the rear side of a belt-form separator 1 with its lateral axis as the center. A belt- form anode plate 3 is superposed with its one side edge 3a unified to one side edge 1a of the separator 1 forming the same surface position when it is superposed on the front side of the belt-form separator 1. As a result, when a wound electrode plate group is installed in a can container 8, the lower edges 3a of the wound anode plates 3 are contacted to the bottom wall surface 8a of the can container 8, and the wound electrode plate group can be set at the specific position. Consequently, the positioning accuracy of the wound electrode plate group in the container 8 can be improved.
