PURPOSE:To suppress generation of fogging and to improve color formability by subjecting the photosensitive material to color development processing by using a color developing soln. contg. a specific 1st compd. in the presence of a specific 2nd compd. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material is subjected to the color development processing by using the color developing soln. contg. the compd. expressed by the formula I in the presence of the compd. expressed by the formula II. In the formulas, R<1>-R<3> denote a hydrogen atom., alkyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group; R<4> denotes a hydrogen atom., hydroxy group, hydrazino group, alkyl group, aryl group, heterocyclic group, alkoxy group, aryloxy group, carbamoyl group or amino group; X<1> denotes a bivalent group; n denotes 0 or 1.
