Centrifuges are known which have a working head mounted on a shaft driven by a drive motor and in which an intermediate sleeve having an elongated slot is fitted between the shaft and a central hole in the working head. The intermediate sleeve is braced against the hole by means of an expanding part with external cone in the region of its upper end face remote from the shaft and by means of a threaded device screwed to the end of the shaft. In order to provide an anchorage between the working head and the shaft of a centrifuge which will be secure, firm and play-free even after prolonged use and frequent changes in load and which, on the other hand, ensures easy detachability and, in particular, is suitable for small centrifuges, the shaft has a conical end, the intermediate sleeve has a conical inside surface matching said end and the threaded device has projections at its circumference which rest against the insides of its stop surface on the intermediate sleeve, on the one hand, and against the pointed end of the expanding part, on the other. |
