BURIED BODY SURVEY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make a survey with high accuracy by superposing an echo image and a dummy echo image one over the other and finding a hyperbolic equation indicating an echo image by using the tube diameter of an underground buried body as a parameter, and detecting the position of the underground buried body on the basis of the hyperbolic line. CONSTITUTION:A moving carriage 1 is moved to send a radio wave from a transmitting antenna 11, and its reflected wave from the buried body 3 is received by a receiving antenna 13. This received signal is inputted to an arithmetic unit 20' and sampled by reception intensity, and the signal is converted into a signal of a display color corresponding to the size on a time base to display a hyperbolic echo image on a display part 21'. The dummy echo image, on the other hand, is generated by the arithmetic unit 20' and displayed on the display part 21'. In this state, a position switch is operated to superpose the dummy echo image and echo image one over the other. Similarly, a spread information switch is operated to superpose the dummy echo image and echo image completely and the current propagation speed is found. The height is found from the combination of the propagation speed and the propagation time at a survey position corresponding to the peak of the hyperbolic line. Then the radius of the cross section of the buried body 3 is found to calculate the distance to the center.
