PURPOSE:To make it installable even in such an engine that is long in distance between a ring gear and a setting surface by installing an engine mounting bracket additionally on a peripheral part of a dished front bracket where an output turning shaft and a driving force transfer device are housed inside. CONSTITUTION:In a starter device 20, a yoke 21b of a DC motor 21 is fitted in a dished front bracket 24. Turning effort of an armature turning shaft 21 in this DC motor 21 is transmitted to an output turning shaft 23 via a planetary reduction gear 25 and an one-way clutch device 26. On the other hand, an electromagnetic switching gear 30 is set up in a rear bracket 29 attached to the DC motor 21. In this constitution, a mounting flange part 41 and an engine mounting bracket 42 are formed each in the front bracket 24. Then, a distance l between the bracket 42 and a pinion 28 attached to the output turning shaft 23 is made selectable freely. |
