The invention relates to a wetting screw, by means of which dusty materials such as ashes from coal-fired power stations can be converted into a soil-moist state. For this purpose, the wetting screw has wing-type paddles arranged on a shaft which is located in a housing. The water is added through nozzles (11, 20). To prevent fouling and incrustation on the paddles and the shaft during operation, it is envisaged to design the nozzles (11, 20) as high-pressure nozzles, by means of which a part of the wetting water is to be sprayed onto the rear of the paddles (7) and onto the shaft (2, 3), it being possible for a fanned jet to be emitted which is to be directed approximately tangentially to the rear of the paddles (7) and to the shaft (2, 3). <IMAGE> |
