Mounting device for two bearings (14F, 14R) supporting a rotating shaft (10) in a casing (12), each of the bearings (14F, 14R) having an inner race (16F, 16R), and an outer race (18F, 18R), the device comprising two annular distance members in the form of diaphragms (20, 26) having a high radial stiffness and a predetermined axial flexibility, the distance members having an inner flange (22, 28) fixed onto the outer race of a respective bearing, and an outer flange (24, 28) fixed inside the casing (12), the two distance members being subjected to an axial deformation, of a predetermined value, with respect to their rest condition, resulting in the distance members exerting a specified axial pre-load with precision on the outer races of the bearings. …<IMAGE>… |
