PURPOSE:To obtain an org. nonlinear optical material which exhibits high nonlinear responsiveness and has excellent blue light transmittability by using a specific compd. or the acid adduct thereof. CONSTITUTION:This optical material is constituted of the compd. expressed by the formula or the acid adduct thereof. In the formula, Z<1> denotes the atom group necessary for forming 2H-1, 2,3-triazole rings; indicated N denotes the nitrogen atom in the 2-place; Z<2> denotes the atom group necessary for forming 5--6-membered arom. rings having one nitro group as a substituent. The 5--6- membered arom. rings formed by Z<2> are exemplified by, for example, thiazoles, oxazoles, imidazoles, pyridines, pyrimidines, and benzenes. The compd. which exhibits the high nonlinear optical responsiveness and the excellent blue light transmittability is thereby obtd. |
