PURPOSE:To make an electrode unnecessary and to freely select the shape of a heating body by induction heating the heating body constituted with electricity conducting macromolecular material by supplying high frequency magnetic flux with an induction coil. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency power source 9 generates a high frequency voltage and applies a high frequency current to an induction coil 8 which in turn generates high frequency magnetic flux. An eddy current is produced in a heating body 3 placed in the magnetic field. Heat is generated with the eddy current loss to heat the heating body 3 and a content 2 in a container 1. The heating body 3 has self-temperature control characteristic and therefore is not heated beyond a certain temperature for safety, and requires no additional energization as it generates heat by induction heating. This makes it possible to obtain the heating body 3 requiring no electrodes and to select the shape of the heating body 3 at will. |
