PURPOSE:To smoothen shifting of blocks while mutually pushing at the joining face by mutually making independence to the each block for side dam, holding the block with rotation-driving means of side dam driving device and endlessly shifting the blocks along guide groove for guide plate. CONSTITUTION:The side dams 13 are divided into one group of the side dam blocks 13a and the other group of the blocks 13b at half of all blocks in each group. Then, the blocks 13a, 13b for both groups are freely fitted to the guide grooves of side frames 11a, 11b for the groups, respectively and each block 13a, 13b is joined, to constitute one pair of side dam 13, 13 at both sides of a mold part 20. Successively, in order to rotating-shift the side dam 13, 13, the blocks 13a, 13b are held under the prescribed pushing force with driving rolls 1a, 1b of the side dam driving device A, and by rotating the driving roll 1a, 1a with a geared motor 2, the blocks 13a, 13a of one side group are shifted. When the blocks 13b, 13b of the other group comes to the side dam driving device A, they are shifted by the same way as the above-mention with both driving rolls 1a, 1a. |
