PURPOSE:To enhance image quality by imparting pH change to the recording image transferred to a medium to be recorded to fix the recording image. CONSTITUTION:The ink pattern 21 transferred to an intermediate transfer roll 6 is transferred to a medium 8 to be recorded to form a transfer recording image 22. This transfer recording image 22 receives a pH changing liquid from a fixing means 15 composed of a pH changing liquid coating means arranged on the downstream side of the medium 8 to be recorded in the transfer direction thereof from an ink image transfer position. By this constitution, the ink 2 constituting the recording image 22 is gelled to fix the transfer recording image 22 to the medium 8 to be recorded. Said pH changing liquid coating means 15 imparts an electron pair acceptor or doner to the recording image 22. As an addition method, there are roll coating, spray coating, dipping or the like. |
