Cpds. of formula:- where n is 0 or 1; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3 provided that both m and n be not 0; Ar is pyridyl or opt. substd. phenyl, are prepd. by reaction of an aryl piperazine with an indan of formula:- or a reactive ester, or by other conventional processes.
