PURPOSE:To obtain a nozzle body prevented from the breakage of the glass surface in the periphery of a nozzle at the time of polishing, provided with cracks and having a round cross-sectional shape by a method wherein a metal wire is engaged with the recessed part of a lower plate, and an upper plate and the lower plate are superposed each other to weld and bond the contact parts thereof and the exposed surface of the nozzle having the metal wire inserted therein is polished before the wire is removed by etching. CONSTITUTION:A glass plate is prepared as a lower plate 12 and recessed parts becoming an ink sump part 13, pressure chambers 14 and nozzle 15 are formed to the lower plate 12. Subsequently, wires 16 are fitted in the nozzle recessed parts 15 and a glass plate having a thickness smaller than that of the lower plate 12 is arranged on the lower plate 12 as an upper plate 11, and the upper plate 11 and the lower plate 12 are grasped using a jig and heated to temp. slightly lower than the softening point of glass to weld and bond the mutual contact parts of both glass plates. Subsequently, the exposed end surface of each of the nozzles 15 having the metal wires 16 inserted therein is subjected to wet polishing using emery kneaded with water or a wet rubstone and, thereafter, the glass plate consisting of the upper and lower plates 11, 12 is immersed in an etching solution such as nitric acid to remove the metal wires 16 inserted in the nozzles 15 by etching. |
