PURPOSE:To make the magnetic field strength constant even when the wobbly surface, of a magneto-optical disk takes place and to enable the high density recording in a high modulation frequency by providing a head supporting means for floating a magnetic head above the surface of the magneto-optical disk and keeping a specified distance between them during the rotation of the magneto-optical disk. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is recorded, the magneto-optical disk 1 is rotationally driven by a motor 2. The wobbly surface arises considerable with the magneto-optical disk 1 under rotational driving, whereas an air pressure (airflow) is generated by rotating of the magneto-optical disk 1. By this airflow, a tip of the magnetic head follows the wobbly surface of the magneto-optical disk 1 to keep always the specified distance, e.g., 10mum from the magneto-optical disk 1. Thus, the magnetic field impressed on the surface of the magneto-optical disk 1 from the magnetic head 4 shows always its constant strength,so that a signal is excellently be recorded by an optical head 3 and the magnetic head 4. |
