PURPOSE:To allow only one reflection of a signal at the end face of an optical cable and to attain 2-way transmission of an optical signal between cables by providing 1st and 2nd signal processing circuits corresponding to an upperstream side converter and a downstream side converter connected to the upperstream side and downstream side optical cables of an optical signal repeater. CONSTITUTION:The 1st signal processing circuit 33 and the 2nd signal processing circuit 34 are provided to an upperstream side converter 21 and a downstream side converter 24 of an optical signal repeater 39 via an upperstream side gate circuit 27 and a downstream side gate circuit 30 respectively. The 1st inhibition signal 31 is outputted in response to the mode of the 1st intermediate signal 29 from the circuit 27 by the circuit 33 to apply waveform shaping to the signal 29 and a downstream side outgoing electric signal 26 retarded by the 1st prescribed delay time from the signal 29 is outputted. Moreover, the 2nd inhibition signal 28 is outputted in response to the mode of the 2nd intermediate signal 32 from the circuit 30 to the circuit 27 by the circuit 34 to apply waveform shaping to the signal 32 and an upperstream side incoming electric signal 23 retarded by a prescribed delay time from the signal 32 is outputted to attain the 2-way signal transmission between upper and downstream side optical cables 1, 2. |
