<p>PURPOSE:To prevent breeding of microorganisms in humidifying water of an ultrasonic humidifier, by a method wherein through collection of dust and microorganisms in air fed in a spraying chamber with the aid of a fan by a dust collecting part, dust removal and germ removal are effected, and germs collected by an antibacterial electret filter are prevented from breeding. CONSTITUTION:When air containing quantities of microorganisms is sucked through a suction port 18 with the aid of a fan 9, since a dust collecting part 19 is incorporated in an air passage 7 running to a spraying chamber 7 and a DC high voltage is applied on a discharge line 11 and a parallel plate electrode 12 in the dust collecting part 19, plus corona discharge is generated between the discharge line 11 and the parallel flat electrode 12. Powdery particles flowing to a charge part 10 is charged plus through corona discharge. The charged powder particles, in turn, flows to a catching part 13, and are high-efficiently collected by an antibacterial electret filter 14 having fibers polarized one by one into plus and minus. Since an antibacterial agent is spread on the antibacterial electret filter 14, the collected microorganisms can be prevented from breeding. Thus, humidified air passing the spraying chamber 7 and discharged through a discharge port 17 can produce clean humidified air freed from microorganisms.</p> |
