<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an unstable factor which is given to charged particles passing in a vacuum duct when a wall current is not measured by connecting a high-temperature superconductor between conductive vacuum ducts and detecting a potential difference generated across the high-temperature superconductor. CONSTITUTION:When the wall current is measured, the high-temperature superconductor 13 operates as a resistance body. When the wall current is not measured, liquefied nitrogen is injected into an aluminum case 5 from a liquefied nitrogen injection port 5A and then the high-temperature superconductor 13 is cooled with the liquefied nitrogen to enter a superconducting state; and reverse charges easily flow, so no adverse influence is exerted upon charged particles and a factor of beam unstableness is not generated.</p> |
