PURPOSE:To produce a quite uniform opaque film excellent in opaqueness, that can be used, for example, for matting prints, by subjecting a specific PP to a specified treatment CONSTITUTION:The title opaque film comprises substantially a homopolymer of propylene and has been stretched to at least one direction, wherein the total haze degree is 10-70%, the inner haze degree is 5% or below, the thickness is 200mu or below, and the melting point measured by a differential scanning calorimeter is 150 deg.C. The film is produced with desired opaqueness by mixing the PP with about 0.1-1,000ppm polymer, which is obtained by polymerizing a vinytrialkylsilane or allytrialkylsilane wherein the alkyl group is CH3, C2H5, C3H7, etc., by using, for example, a stereoregular catalyst, subjecting the mixture to extrusion molding to form a sheet, and stretching the sheet at relatively high temperatures. |
