<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to property take hold of the sectional shape of a sheet-like material at the time of cutting the material by providing a first detecting means for detecting the position of a knife portion in a traveling direction and a second detecting means for detecting the position of the knife portion in a direction rectangular to the traveling direction. CONSTITUTION:In a travel mechanism, a knife portion travels through a support member 15, and then, it cuts a steel breaker member 2 on the bias along a steel cord 3. Thereat, the knife portion is movable in a direction rectangular to a traveling direction, and first and second detecting means 30, 50 detect the respective positions of the knife portion in the traveling direction and in the direction rectangular thereto. On the basis of each information detected by the two detecting means, an arithmometer calculates the position of the knife portion on a coordinate and detects a sectional shape at almost the same time of bias-cutting.</p> |
