The subject of the invention is a central pneumatic control device synchronously actuating two extensible supports. The device includes a tubular body of square or rectangular cross-section 1, closed at its ends, consisting of two chambers 2 and 3, the chamber 2 including an air chamber 4 the inflation of which makes it possible to actuate the two lateral cheeks 5 and therefore the piston rods 6, the chamber 3 including an articulated connecting rod device 7 connected to the lateral pistons and to at least one central piston 8 which provides the synchronism of forward travel of the two lateral pistons, and therefore the rising and descending synchronism of the support devices. When they equip a hospital-type bed, two such devices make it possible in particular to raise or incline it without risk of unbalance when there is a lateral weight transfer. <IMAGE>
