An airlock element for a plastic container with folding parts 4, 5 in order to close off an opening in the wall 1 of the container. The folding parts 4, 5 can be folded into the container 2 by pressing from outside and spring back to close the opening when the pressure is removed. Folding the folding parts 4, 5 out from the container 2 is prevented by means of locking devices 9, 10 connected to the wall 1 of the container. The locking devices 9, 10 comprise a lid connection piece 10, which is slightly narrower than the opening, and which is connected to the wall 1 of the container by a connecting flange 9 extended out over the periphery 6, 7 of the opening, the said flange forming a bearing surface for the folding parts 4, 5. The folding parts 4, 5 are integrally moulded with the wall 1 of the container and connected to the latter by way of a hinge joint 8 of smaller thickness than the wall 1. <IMAGE>
