Sports drinks were prepd. from cereals. Thus, fried and crushed soy- beans were soaked into 50% ethanol for 5 hr at room temp. and heat- treated at 80≦̸C for 12 hr. The resulting mixt. was mixed with an equal amt. of water, pressed at 1.2 kg/cm2 in an autoclave for 15 min, cooled to 60 C, treated with amylase, glucosidase, and protease for 48 hr, and centrifuged at 8,000 rpm for 20 min. the supernatant was diluted with water (Be=6 BRIX), heattreated at 100≦̸C for 10 min, and mixed with NaCl, KCl, and vitamins to give final product.
