Thermodynamic heat generator, of the type intended to operate according to the heat-pump principle, comprising a circuit 14-23-20 in which a refrigerant fluid flows and on which are mounted an evaporator 1 in which the fluid absorbs heat by exchange with a cold source 5, a condenser 2 at which the said fluid supplies heat to a heat-distributing circuit 7, a compressor 3 for sucking up the refrigerant fluid which comes from the evaporator 1 and for delivering it at high pressure to the aforementioned condenser 2, and a temperature-controlled (thermostatic) pressure-relief valve 15 provided between this condenser 2 and the evaporator 1, which pressure-relief valve 15, controlled by a pressure sensor 16 placed at the outlet of the evaporator 1, is connected to a by-pass 17 controlled by a pressure-controlled (pressostatic) valve 18, characterised in that the by-pass 17, fed with undercooled refrigerant fluid via the pipe 14 connecting the condenser 2 to the pressure-relief valve 15, is controlled by a solenoid valve 21 associated with a temperature sensor 22 provided at the outlet of the evaporator 1. <IMAGE>
