Oil burner

In an oil burner having an oil-atomising device which is arranged in an air supply duct fed by a blower and bounded by a constriction having a baffle plate adjoined by a flame tube, provision is made for the tubular air supply duct with constriction and baffle plate to project into the combustion space and for this part of the air supply pipe to be surrounded, at least in the region of its front end, over a part of its length, so as to form a gap, by a ceramic flame tube which projects beyond the air supply pipe in the air supply direction.
