PURPOSE:To secure good sealability as well as to make any creep preventable by halving a flexible connecting sealant for both pipe contact preventing and pipe receiving projections and a cylindrical body, and forming them into a coupling body provided with a sealant separation preventing projection. CONSTITUTION:A pipe fitting C is made up of a flexible material connecting sealant 20 and a halving rigid coupling body 10. The connecting sealant 20 is constituted of installing a contact preventing projection of a pipe P in the circumferential direction of a cylindrical body, plural lines of pipe receiving projections and an axisymmetrical pair of projections. The cylindrical body is halved, while the sealant 20 is held between the halved surfaces, and a sealant separation preventing projection, inscribing both ends of the sealant 20, is installed in a double-port end of the cylinder body. In consequence, the connecting sealant is uniformly distributed over a pipe surface, and thus a sealing effect is improved. In addition, the pipe receiving projection has a labyrinth effect for a liquid leaked, so that this leakage is confined to the smallest possible extent. |
