PURPOSE:To avoid adhesion of rain drops on a door mirror when a vehicle runs in the rainy weather by forming a jet part between the top part of the guide face of an outer shell and the guide face of a base part and specifically determining the set position of the top part on the guide face of the base part. CONSTITUTION:A jet part 8 is formed between a curved guide face 6 formed on the side part of the outer shell 4 of a mirror body 3 and a tapered guide face 7 formed on a base part 1. The top part of the guide face 7 of the base part 1 is set on the more rear side from both the tangential line A which passes the top part of the guide face 7 of said base part 1 and is parallel with the longitudinal center line of the vehicle and a perpendicular B drawn down from a contact point P on the side of the base part 1. Air flow passing through the jet part 8 at the running time of the vehicle is deviated aside along the curved guide face 6 of the outer shell 4 of the mirror body 3 by the Coanda effect. If the vehicle runs in the rainy weather, air flow passing between the base part 1 and the mirror body 3 avoids the adhesion of rain drops to the surface of a door glass. |
