<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a worker to go to a fail-in-operation device and to reduce exposure of a worker, by a method wherein when a running device is failed in operation in the middle of a monorail, after a pinion is separated from a rack by means of a jack with wheels, a body is coupled to other vehicle through a coupling means. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 8 and the like is failed in operation in the middle of running, a rescue vehicle is run, and the coupling joint 20 of the rescue vehicle is coupled to a coupling joint 19 of a running device failed in operation. By rotating the coupling joint 20 and rotating a feed screw 18 through the medium of the coupling means 19, a jack mechanism 12 with wheels is motioned, and wheels 16 and 16 are pressed against the ceiling part of a monorail 3. In this case, since a running device body 1 is vertically movably resiliently supported by a suspension device 5, it is depressed by means of a reaction force generated between the wheel 16 and the monorail 3. Thereby, a pinion gear 6 is disengaged from a rack gear 7, the running device body 1 is brought into a runnable state, the failure-in-operation running device is pulled by a rescue vehicle, and is carried to a place where repair can take place.</p> |
