PURPOSE:To make it possible to continuously carry out electric discharge machining, by concentrically and integrally connecting a collet chuck with the lower section of a storage container storing therin a plurality of electrodes to cooperate the actuation of the chuck with a depressing means, an opening means and a drop preventing means. CONSTITUTION:When a plurality of electrodes 1', for example, twenty electrodes 1' are stored in a storage container 2-5 and a knock hardware 18 is depressed with a conductor brush 15 being set, a collet 2 is moved downward overcoming a spring 3 together with a ring 5 which is abutted against and held by the tapered surface of a front end section 2-1 clamping an electrode 1, and therefore, when they are abutted against the step of a casing 6, the ring 5 comes to a stop. When the collet 2 is further moved downward, it comes off from the tapered surface and opens its front end part. At this time since the electrode 1 is lightly clamped by an O-ring 19, it does not drop. The collet 2 is upwardly returned, and the above-mentioned steps are repeated to successively feed the electrode by a desired length. Thus, a plurality of electric discharge machining processes may be continuously carried out. |
