PURPOSE:To obtain an engine capable of high-speed rotation by rotatably providing a runner in which a plurality of wings are spirally slidably formed in an oval cylinder, and performing each step of intake, compression, combustion and discharge by use of volume changes of spaces between wings. CONSTITUTION:A runner 1, composed by spirally slidably inserting a plurality of wings 2 in an oval cylinder hole formed on a cylinder main body 4, is rotatably housed around an axis of a shaft 3. An intake port 5 and a discharge port 6 are formed on the cylinder main body 4, while an ignition plug 7 is provided on a specified portion of the cylinder hole. Spaces variable in volume are separately formed between the wings 2, 2 next to each other, by pressing the wings 2 onto the inner surface of the cylinder hole by means of centrifugal force due to the rotation of the runner 1. Power, generated by performing each step of intake, compression, combustion, discharge by use of the volume change of the spaces, rotates the runner 1. |
