The invention relates to a device for positionally precise rapid attachment of flexible printing plates on the plate cylinder of a sheet-fed rotary printing machine. The object of the invention is to provide a device for rapid tensioning of flexible printing plates on plate cylinders, which device allows clamping and tensioning of the flexible printing plates with few operations whilst achieving an optimum clamping force. The object is achieved in that the clamping device and tensioning device are assigned at least one common actuating device which is arranged on the machine frame and corresponds to the angular position of the plate cylinder at the point in time of clamping and tensioning. <IMAGE>
