PURPOSE:To accurately measure frozen goods and prevent overflowing from canned containers in a canning process, by preventing steam of frozen goods due to thawing thereof by supplied hot liquid from permeating into a mechanism of a combined measuring device by means of a gate in a chute. CONSTITUTION:A required volume of hot liquid is fed from shutter nozzles 31 of a hot liquid feeder 26 to the upper part of a cone 2 of frozen food staffs filed previously in a chute 30 to thaw out them. Meanwhile, air-cylinders 29 move forward to close a gate 27 at the upper part of a storage chute 20 and a feed chute 28. Accordingly, the steam of hot liquid fed from the nozzles 31 to the chutes 30 and the steam from the cone 2 of thawed food stuffs rise up without permeation to the mechanism of a combined measuring device. The volume of the thawed cone and hot liquid are previously measured to coincide with the can volume. As a result, at the time of completion of feed, the upper meniscus becomes level with the upper of the canned container 1 to securely charge just a specified volume. |
