PURPOSE:To obtain a styrene based resin composition capable of efficiently producing molded products having excellent heat, solvent resistance, etc., at a low temperature, by blending a styrene based polymer having a syndiotactic structure with a metallic salt of an ionic hydrocarbon copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A composition, consisting essentially of (A) 100 pts.wt. styrene based polymer mainly having a syndiotactic structure and preferably >=10000 weight-average structure, (B) 0.1-25 pts.wt., preferably 0.5-12 pts.wt. metallic salt of an ionic hydrocarbon copolymer, e.g., prepared by neutralizing a copolymer of an olefin with an unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) with a base containing metallic ions (e.g., Na, Mg or Al ions) and having <=100g/10min, preferably 0.01-50g/10min melt index (MI). The above-mentioned composition is molded at ambient temperature -200 deg.C, preferably 60-160 deg.C metallic mold temperature to produce the aimed molded product. |
