PURPOSE:To permit film to be sealed in the most appropriate condition, even if the sealing space is changed due to the deformation of a commodity being packaged, by nearly equalizing the feeding speed of a continuously fed film and moving speed of a sealing device for sealing said film at a predetermined location, at least when they are in contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:A control means 40 operates a first motor 30 for driving a feed roller 9 at a nearly speed and a second motor 35 for driving an end sealer 5 at an increased and decreased speed at predetermined intervals. When the end sealer 5 and a cylindrical film 7' are out of contact, the control means makes the first motor operate at a constantly high (or low) speed and, when the end seal operation is being performed with the end sealer 5 in contact with the cylindrical film 7', decreases (or increases) the rotation speed of the first motor 35 so as to nearly equalize the moving speed of the end of the end sealer 5 and the feeding speed of the cylindrical film 7'. |
