PURPOSE:To obtain a cold rolling oil enabling the rolling at high speed under high pressure and improving the surface gloss of rolled product, by compounding a base oil composed of a mineral oil with a specific amount of a trimellitic acid ester (mixture). CONSTITUTION:The objective rolling oil is produced by heating (A) a base oil composed of a mineral oil having a viscosity of 2-20cst (40 deg.C) to 20-30 deg.C and mixing the oil A with (B) 2-30wt.% of a trimellitic acid ester of formula (R is 4-13C alkyl) or a mixture of two or more trimellitic acid esters of formula having different C number of the alkyl group R. The oil can be incorporated with an antioxidant, defoaming agent, etc., according to the need. |
