For the rapid and accurate measurement of angles, even in the case of an inclined position of the measuring plane, as well as in a special design for determining this inclination itself, it is intended to provide a solution which works with indicating elements which follow gravitational force. This object is achieved in that the separations of the side parts of the liquid container from each other and from the centrally movable, elongated body are dimensioned so that the deformation of the liquid surface by cohesive forces is prevented even in the case of an inclined position. The elongated body thus uniformly moved by the liquid can be assigned as an indicating element to an angular scale which can be rotated for calibration. By means of a further conversion of the container and of the elongated body, the simultaneous measurement of an angle in the third dimension is possible.
