The invention sets out from a liquid container, such as a storage tank, made of metal, in particular of steel, preferably for above ground and underground installation, having an inner casing, an outer casing, an intermediate space being formed at the end in the inner and outer casing, having a suction connection and a measuring connection for the connection of a measuring instrument, both connections being connected to the intermediate space in the tank.
