A method and device for controlling the speed of a rotor. Tachogenerators, by means of which the speed of the rotor can be determined, are used for the electronic regulation of drives. The regulation accuracy of known methods is limited by the mechanical tolerance of the tachogenerator elements. A correction value is obtained according to the invention to compensate for the tolerances, in that the motor driving the rotor is initially accelerated to its nominal speed, time intervals between successive pulses are then determined, as well as the total time for one revolution, the number of pulses occurring during one revolution being used to determine an even time pattern, and the desired correction values then being determined from the deviations of the pulses from the time pattern. The invention can be used for motors in which the motor is required to carry out an accurate sequence of acceleration and braking processes as well as precisely maintaining a nominal speed. Applications are motors for digital or analog signal recording units. |
