PURPOSE:To enable realization of color correction by using masking technique with a simple configuration by controlling the advisability of printing using the reversed data of other colors to determine the specified frequency of chromatic transfer in accordance with masking rate when the printing data of each color is transferred a plurality of times. CONSTITUTION:A reference level of 64 gradations of color scale is generated by a gradation data generation device 9. The reference level generated in this way and output data of yellow by a data selector are compared by means of a comparator 10, and the compared result is converted to PWM signal. In the meantime, the reference level of correction data is generated by a gradation data generation device 8, and is compared with the magenta of a data selector 4 by means of a comparator 5 to be converted to a control signal. Then this control signal and the PWM conversion signal which is an output of the comparator 10 are applied to an AND circuit 6. Consequently, the control signal controls the advisability of making the PWM signal effective or ineffective. The signal which becomes effective is output from the AND circuit and applied to a thermal head 11 for thermal transfer. |
