PURPOSE:To stabilize an oscillated laser beam by making conductive, from a time one switching element is made conductive among a plurality of such switching elements to a time when any discharge product is formed in a laser tube, the remaining desired switching elements respectively in different timings. CONSTITUTION:One thyratron 23 is made conductive in a desired timing from a time when the other thyratron 22 is made conductive to a time when any discharge product is produced in a laser tube 1. Electric charges stored in respective main capacitors 24, 25 are discharged until the discharge product is produced. Hereby, the width of a single shot laser pulse can be prolonged, permitting a laser output beam to be made of high power, followed by a stable laser beam oscillation because the device is discharged until any discharge product is produced. |
