PURPOSE:To execute the agitation of good efficiency for a molten steel by surrounding by an electromagnetic shield the other faces excluding the face faced to the side face of a mold of the electromagnetic device composed of the air-core coil wound with the electric wire of an oxide superconducting body. CONSTITUTION:An Electromagnetic device 2 is composed of air-core coils 14-16, the air-core coils 14, 15 are provided in parallel in the vertical direction and the air-core coil 16 is arranged so as to surround the air-core coils 14, 15. The oxide superconducting body electric wire consisting of the participating body of Sr, Ba, Y, etc., and the oxide of Cu is wound around each air-core coil 14-16. The other faces excluding the face faced to a mold 1 is shielded by the electromagnetic shield 17 composed of the oxide superconducting body and the electromagnetic device 2 and shild 17 are stored in a tank 18 with a cooling medium. The agitation of good efficiency is thus performed for a molten steel. |
