PURPOSE:To attain mutual communication for picture information between conventional facsimile equipments freely by connecting a telephone line, a conventional local facsimile equipment and a computer to a communication adaptor and forming a signal transfer path among three kinds of equipments in the communication adaptor respectively. CONSTITUTION:A communication adaptor 2 is arranged to a facsimile station and it is connected to a telephone line, a local facsimile equipment 1 and a computer 3. In the communication adaptor 2, a signal transmission path is formed between the remote facsimile equipment 5 being a communication destination and the computer 3, between the remote facsimile equipment 5 and the local facsimile equipment 1, and between the local facsimile equipment and the remote facsimile equipment 5 to apply prescribed facsimile communication. Thus, the conventional facsimile equipment is used to send freely picture information.
