A tamper-proof closure (1) has an internal screw-thread which can be screwed on to a complementary counter-screw on a container neck, a screw cap (2), possibly provided with separate sealing means, for sealing the container mouth, and a security ring (3) connected to the bottom of the screw cap (2). Said ring can be torn off, or has means for tearing it off, the screw cap (2) at least in sections. At least one inwardly-pivoting tab (5) connected to the bottom of the safety ring (3) via a hinge or film hinge connection (4) is provided for gripping a transfer ring arranged on the container neck below the counter-screw. Preferably the locking flank (10) of at least one tab (5) has at least one section, in particular a levelled section (10a), and/or at least one rib (14) and/or in particular at least one projection (13). Preferably at least one tab (5) is subdivided into appropriately-shaped and arranged tab sections, in particular into a lower tab section (7) which expands downward and outward from an upper tab section (6). Preferably reinforcing ribs (11, 12) are suitably disposed around the periphery of the tamper-proof closure (1). |
