PURPOSE:To restrict the vibration of a platen and minimize printing noise at low cost and without requiring space by installing a printing member, which forms a printing surface, to a supporting member through a vibration control material of lead or lead alloy. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a platen block 11 consists of integrally formed platen arms 13A, B with holes 12A, B which are supported in freely rotating manner on the main body of a printing device on both sides of the main body of the platen block. At the same time, the main body of the platen block 11 has a rectangular storage groove 14 which stores and bonds a printing member 21 and a vibration control material in a laminated state, formed in the front edge. The printing member 21 is formed totally of hard plastic for protection of a printing ribbon. In addition, for the vibration control material 31, lead or lead alloy is used as a material with a vibration control effect and a sound- proof effect. The vibration control material is caused to adhere to the lower surface of the printing member 21 through an adhesive, and stored in the storage groove 14 where the vibration control material is adhesively fixed. |
