PURPOSE:To obtain the title culture medium capable of yeast culture without stopping sporogenesis even after repeated subcultures, suitable for acquiring and growing high-grade strains, by spiking an agar-agar culture medium with a specific component such as a soybean derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective culture medium can be obtained by spiking (A) an agar-agar culture medium contg. pref. 1-5wt.% of agar-agar with a combination of pref. 0.01-1wt.% of a yeast-extracted product with (B) (i) pref. 1-25wt.% on a dry basis, of a soybean derivative such as ground produce of water-swollen soybeans, soybean milk or soybean-cured refuse, (ii) pref. 0.1-1.0wt.% of pectin, (iii) pref 0.1-5wt.% of glucan, (iv) pref 0.1-5wt.% of mannan, or (v) pref. 0.1-5wt.% of succinic acid. |
