Deep-drawn plastic is mfd by placing a molten sheet between a plug and a mould, supporting the molten sheet on the upper surface of the mould which has heat insulating capability and slipperiness, and moving the plug and metal mould relative to each other in the direction of closure while generating a positive pressure between the mould and the molten sheet, thereby moulding the sheet. The molten sheet is drawn into the mould as the former is slid on the above-mentioned portion of the upper surface of the latter, whereby the quantity of the molten plastic sheet drawn into the mould is increased. |
