PURPOSE:To save cleaning such as washing of a filter and perform air- conditioning always in a good condition by winding the filter around a roller, guiding it along the rear of a front panel downward and facing the lower end of the filter to a filter taking-out port of the lower part of the front panel. CONSTITUTION:A filter 18 wound around a cylindrical roller 18 provided in the upper part of an air conditioner is placed between a front panel 17 and a heat exchanger 14 along guide plates of a filter guide 24, room air is passed through a heat exchanger 14, heated or cooled after dust of the room air sucked by the operation of an air blower 16 from the suction opening 22 of the front panel 17 is removed by the filter 19, and it is released through a diffuser 20 in the room again to perform air-conditioning in a living room. During operation a large quantity of dust is stuffed in the process in which dust adheres to the filter 19, at this time the filter 19 is pulled down from a filter taking-out hole 23, the part of a perforation 27 of the filter 19 is separated, and the filter 19 to which dust adheres is dumped. As the result cleaning of the filter 19 is eliminated. |
