<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate jam treatment by furnishing two sheet feeding mechanisms on a sheet feeding frame, and equipping one of them which has an intermediate roller with possibility of drawing out in the direction across the plane of sheet in feeding. CONSTITUTION:On a sheet feeding frame 100, a right sheet feeding mechanism 34 having a sheet feed roller 32 and an intermediate roller 33 is installed with capability of being drawn out the right, while a left sheet feeding mechanism 35 having a sheet feed roller 31 with possibility of being drawn out toward the operator. Sheets in a sheet cassette loaded on are taken out by the sheet feed rollers 32, 31 and fed into the body of a copying machine by the intermediate roller 33. In case jam has occurred at the intermediate roller 33. the right sheet feeding mechanism 34 is drawn out in the direction across transportation of the sheet, i.e. to the right, that allows even the sheet fed from the left to be drawn out to outside the frame 100 so long as the sheet is pinched by the intermediate roller 33 minimally. Thus jamming sheet can be removed certainly and easily without damaging sheets.</p> |
