<p>PURPOSE:To improve the correct recognition rate of a tablet type recognition device by setting a buffer zone around the character writing area of a tablet and previously deciding an output value when a writing tool is put in the buffer zone along each side of the area. CONSTITUTION:Coordinate data produced from a tablet 1 are inputted to a microcomputer 3 through an A/D converter 2. The processed results of the computer 3 are outputted from an output section 6. In this system a recognition frame 7 is sent at part of the tablet 1 and a buffer zone 8 is provided around the frame 7. Assuming that the point inputted with a writing tool is P, the coordinate values of the P is adopted as they are when the point is inside the four corner points A-D of the frame 7. When the P is in the buffer zone 8, the X-coordinate value is used as it is and a fixed coordinate value is produced for the Y-coordinate value in case when the P is in the upper and lower sides of the buffer zone 8. When the P is in the right and left sides of the buffer zone 8, the Y-coordinate value is used as it is and a fixed output value is produced for the X-coordinate value.</p> |
